New revisions of SoftMaker Office NX and SoftMaker Office 2026 are released regularly and include improvements and fixes. These are installed automatically in the form of service packs.

• 2026-09-28: Revision 1504

  Revision 1504 fixes various issues in SoftMaker Office NX and SoftMaker Office Professional 2026.

• 2026-08-11: Revision 1502

  Revision 1502 is the first service pack for SoftMaker Office NX and the first version of SoftMaker Office Professional 2026.

• 2026-07-14: Revision 1500

  Revision 1500 is the first version of the new generation of SoftMaker Office NX.

2026-09-28: Improvements in revision 1504

Revision 1504 fixes a number of issues in SoftMaker Office NX and SoftMaker Office Professional 2026:

• In dark mode, the active document tab is now easier to identify.
• The Hunspell dictionary for Afrikaans can now be installed.
• SoftMaker Office now respects the system's default duplex printing setting.
• Single-page documents are no longer printed in duplex mode when duplex printing is enabled.
• TextMaker: A crash during grammar checking with LanguageTool has been fixed.
• TextMaker: Opening certain documents could cause the program to crash.
• TextMaker: All translation commands are now available in the context menu.
• TextMaker: When you create PDF forms, form object names are exported to the PDF file.
• TextMaker for Mac: With dictation mode enabled, you can now insert a tab character in table cells using Ctrl+Tab.
• PlanMaker: The COUNTIF function is now Excel-compatible even in edge cases.
• Presentations for Mac: With dictation mode enabled, text could not be entered in the notes pane.

2026-08-11: Improvements in revision 1502

Revision 1502 is both the first service pack for SoftMaker Office NX and the initial release of the permanent version, SoftMaker Office Professional 2026.

Many of the new features that have been available in SoftMaker Office NX since July 2026 are now also available in SoftMaker Office Professional 2026. The exceptions are all AI features, DeepL translation and grammar checking with LanguageTool.

In addition to various bug fixes, revision 1502 includes a usability improvement: Click inside a table, move the mouse pointer to its upper-left corner and click once to select the entire table. The mouse pointer temporarily changes to an arrow pointing down and to the right.

2026-07-14: New generation of SoftMaker Office NX NX UNIVERSALNX HOME

Revision 1500 is the first shipping version of the new generation of SoftMaker Office NX. Enhancements include new versions of LanguageTool and Duden Korrektor, improved AI features – including AI-powered image creation and editing – dynamic arrays and XLOOKUP in PlanMaker, a new extra-dark dark mode and much more.
