I can't seem to get rid of SMASH loading in the toolbar. I click on it, select preferences, and un-select "Load in toolbar", click "Okay" and then Close the toolbar SMASH icon. It just loads again when I restart the PC. :o

Any recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Right click at theh M (on white background), choose Preferences and then uncheck the option Run SMASH when Windows starts. Now you can close SMASH by doing a right click at the M icon and choosing Close.

Tobias,

I have gone through this exact process for removal a number of times. SMASH always reloads. Where can I find this in the Registry or some other place where I can keep it from loading?

Thanks!

Start :arrow2: Run and type in msconfig
Now you should see all programs which get started when Windows starts up. Try to find SMASH (called SMASH.EXE) and uncheck this program.

This should work. :)

I tried to remove Smash from the start menu using msconfig but it comes rith back. I have also tried to remove it with Hijackthis.exe and with Microsoft's new Antispyware software. It does not work. How do I remove this software (which is seeming to be a virus)?

Please help me. If I need to change the register, please provide specific and complete instructions.

This is not a good thing.

Thanks for your help!

I'm reposting this in hopes that someone from support will support the software.

If you really don't find how to turn off SMASH you can also kill SMASH.EXE with task manager and then delete the SMASH.EXE file from your disk. But this is not recommended.
