Can the default save in TextMaker be set to the Microsoft Word .doc? and for the other SoftMaker apps as well. I may have overlooked a setting for this but I could not find a way to do this. It would be nice not to have to use the dropdown arrow every time when doing a save. Thank you. Geop (East Coast USA)

I can't remember if it was already in TM 2008, but in any case it's in TM 2010 and TM 2012: Tools > Options, Tab "Files".

Jossi, the setting was there as you said. I am setting a used machine up with TextMaker for a person who cannot afford to buy a machine and the word processing is a must. Thanks again for the help. George
