Just tonight I updated to 654. Most of the documents I create are 'technical' i.e. OLE use of MATH TYPE. It quickly became apparent that double clicking (most) equations to perform an edit results in altering the alignment of the "in line" equation (usually moving it up) and so it is no longer in sync with the sentence it is part of and right now I am not able to realign them :x .

Albeit I didn't use the 652 build very much but it seems to me that something changed negatively (for me) going from 652 to 654.

I don't think we changed anything related to the handling of OLE objects in rev 654.

Could you please send a sample document to forum (at) softmaker.de ?

Take a look at the document provided. It was created with TM 2008 but when I open and close it with 2012 hopefully you can see that the equations are 'now' misaligned and furthermore all the OLE objects can no longer be edited using the linked programme i.e. MATH TYPE 6 (it appears they have been converted to pictures).

Until this problem is rectified I refuse to open previously created documents (2008) in 2012 as they seem to be irrevocably altered by TM 2012 :x .

It seems that your document was already saved with TextMaker 2012. Could you please also attach the original 2008 file that was not saved with TextMaker 2012 to compare both files? Thank you!

Sorry, the problem has not been solved yet. I again asked the developers and will inform you as soon as this has been sorted out.

Because of this glitch I have been unable to use TM 2012 since it first became available as most of my documents require the the equation editor.

It has now been 3 months since I reported this bug and quickly confirmed by SM technical. Why is it taking so long for a resolution? I have been unable to use TM since that time because of this issue.

The developers are still working on a bugfix. We are sorry that you have to wait so long. We will inform you here as soon as there is a bugfix available.

Thanks for the reply. Of course I look forward to a fix so I can again use TM 2012.

It has been almost 7 months after first reporting this bug which SM has been able to replicate. I am unable to use the product as this bug irrevocably alters any technical document created with TM 2008. What is the status of this request?
