How do I get a US English dictionary for automatic Spell checking in TextMaker 2010 for windows?

First, check if the dictionary is installed:
Invoke Tools=>Options=>Language and select 'English (United States)' from the drop down menu.
There should be a green tick left to the text. If not, start the setup again and perform the full installation. Also, please make sure that the background spell-checking is activated in Tools=>Options=>Language.
