I am using Textmaker in Windows 7 and the typing has a considerable lag before appearing on screen. There are delays when it has to save as I am typing and it has crashed sereveral times. The fan on the laptop keeps cutting in as well which is unusual. I am working on a 36 page document but surely this should not be happening. The only other program I have open is Firefox. I am working on a new laptop so I dont think it is the machine. Any suggestions?

Please deactivate the spell checker (Toole=>Options=>Langauge). Does the problem still exist? Also, please start the task manager via CTRL+ALT+DEL and watch what happens with the CPU and RAM use when you start TextMaker and when you open your file.

I had pasted some tables within a table. When I deleted the table within the table textmaker went back to a normal and acceptable speed.

I have attached a similar file to the one I had issues with. I did not think to save it to demonstrate the problem. I hope this is helpful
