Is it possible to move the folder containing the various configurations from My Documents to another drive?
I know how to move My Documents itself but I would prefer for example to keep my config in the same folder as templates.

You can create a new (empty) textfile 'portable.txt' in the program folder (C:\Program Files\SoftMaker Office 2010). When you start TextMaker next time it thinks that you use an USB version and will create the templates and settings folder in the program folder and not in My Documents.

I thank you for that answer. Can we go one stage further please. The reason for this is because I don't like data or configuration on the C drive. A windows crash means I have to re configure everything. Can it be made to pick this up on another drive?

It can only be made to install into the program folder. If you install the whole Office on another Drive (D instead of C) and create the 'portable.txt' in the program folder, you would have the whole Office with all settings and folders there.
