Consider the following two screenshots taken.
1. The word screenshot shows the table header with white text.
2. The textmaker screenshot does not show the white text in the table header.

Any version of MS Word (2000, 2003 or 2010) shows the text properly. Textmaker does not.

3. test_doc.doc [word document in question]

Thank you for the bug report which I can reproduce here even with TextMaker 2010. I informed the developers.

It seems that TextMaker does not support 'Automatic' color, which is necessary to show your file properly. I opened an feature request.

Here is another file where there are major formatting problems in textmaker. Somethings I observed.

1. The top right corner text is actually a header in MS Word. In textmaker, it looks part of the body.
2. Formatting problems with the tables. Tables with blue color background don't align properly
3. MS Word fits more content in Pg. 2 than in TextMaker.

Not yet. I've raised the priority a bit.

According to the issues you reported:

#1: Header text and body text are painted in the same color. Word does it different but we decided to keep TextMakers way as it looks better than in MS Word
#2: This has been fixed and and looks better with the current Service Pack (Revision 591)
#3: That's a Word option to hide pgfs after tables which we cannot change due to TextMakers Word compatibility.
