Track changes off: correct behaviour
If I do a global search & replace to change all 'Aaaa' to 'Bbbb', I get 'Bbbb' at each occurrence.
If I try to do it again, I get no further occurrences and all 'Bbbb' strings stay as they are.

Track changes on: incorrect behaviour
If I do a global search & replace to change all 'Aaaa' to 'Bbbb', I get 'Bbbb' at each occurrence.
If I try to do it again, it should find no further occurrences but in fact it finds them all again and I now get 'BbbbBbbb' at each occurrence.
If I do it yet again, I now get 'BbbbBbbbBbbb' at each occurrence.
etc.

Why would I do it again?
Sometimes I just do.
Maybe by mistake, if I forget that I've already done it once.
Maybe just to make sure that I have found every occurrence.
This should not damage the document the way it does.

Thank you for the hint! I can reproduce this problem here and informed the developers.

Dear John,

thank you for your feedback. Do you have still the same problem or what happened exactly?

I'm starting to understand how this works.

On 10th May, you wrote,
Dear John,
it should work with the next service pack.

It didn't.

On 19th May, you wrote,
Hello John,
It will work with the next servicepack.

I have not yet completely decoded the pattern, however, so I don't yet feel able to extrapolate.
I am still trying to solve the sequence. Will the third term be,
Hi, John
It was supposed to work with the next servicepack.

or

Hi, John
It does now work with the next servicepack.

John

PS It's great software and I shouldn't be so ungrateful for your hard work. Please ignore my bad joke!

The last service pack was released on May 5, and Philip wrote you on May 10 that will be fixed in the next service pack. This "next" service pack has not been released yet.

I will however make sure that you will receive a hotfix today that fixes this issue.
