I note that we can use the LMB to drag to the left or the right all column boundaries in a table except the left-most. Why is the left-most not draggable?

Should the developers have in mind that dragging column boundaries is only used for adjusting column widths and therefore the left-most does not need this facility, this would be a false assumption. We use this facility both to adjust column widths and to align column boundaries exactly where we want them on the page, as part of the page layout design.

I would really like all column boundaries to be draggable if that were possible. If we already can do so and there is just something simple I am failing to realise then please could someone patiently explain it to me?

Hello John,

unfortunately, this is not yet possible. As a workaround, you can select the table with the mouse by clicking in the left page margin beside the table and then drag the rectangular slider in the horizontal ruler to the position you wish.
