Hello Texters:

I searched through the Forums, but was not successful in finding how to set up a default date format in TextMaker.

In the templates called "Memo", there is a numerical date string, that is read (I guess) from the system, as follows: 15/02/2010. This string is OK, as there is obviously no 15th month in the year, so it can be understood as 15 February 2010.

However, if you see 05/02/2010, how will your reader know if the date means May 2 or 5 February? So I prefer to have my dates showing the Month in words: either as Feb or as February. In fact, sometimes, I would even need it to read 2010 February 2.

How can I tell TextMaker how to show the Date format of my choice?

In Insert Field..., there are lots of date formats to choose from. You may also define your own date format.
