Hello,
I would like to ask if there are any plans to support dynamic charts in Planmaker. By dynamic charts I mean charts where the data range for example updates automatically as described here:
http://peltiertech.com/Excel/Charts/DynamicColumnChart1.html
I have PlanMaker 2008 and have unfortunately found no information whether Planmaker 2010 supports this behavior. Thank you for your answers.

Hello,

the chart will always update automatically if you change the values. That should work in PlanMaker 2008 and 2010.

Hello Sven,
thank you for your reply. Actually what I meant was not an update of displayed data - I meant update of chart properties (like the data range). For example if you have daily updated data you may need the chart range to be dynamically scaled to cover the available data only not the whole expected data range. Otherwise if you plan to display a large amount of data you may end up with a chart that has for example 10000 entries on the X axis and during the first 3 days has 9997 of the entries equal 0. Such a chart is a big waste of space in the sheet and nobody can read it as all the relevant information is too tiny to be seen. I have checked PlanMaker2008 and it doesn't work or I can't figure out how it works. As far as I know OpenOffice doesn't support this behavior too, I have seen it only in Microsoft Office.

Hello Parameter,

if you change the array of the data range you need also to adjust the settings in the chart properties. The charts needs to know which data range you need.

Hello Sven,
yes exactly - that is what Microsoft Excel can do dynamically/automatically while OpenOffice and PlanMaker, as far as I know, require from the user to do this manually. And the ability to automatically show only the relevant data in the chart is invaluable for on-going analysis. That is why I was asking about this feature.

I referred your suggestion as a feature request for future versions to our developers. Thank you!
