I'm a new user of TextMaker 2008, thanks to the generous offer Softmaker made recently - thanks!

I'm doing a photography evening class. I want to make some documents that have regular arrays of photos in them, plus text. That is, I want to insert "x" number of picture frames, all the same size, evenly distributed about the page, or rather, within a frame that contains them all. Please, is there an easy way to do this in TextMaker, or do I have to go to a full DTP program?

TIA...

There is no automated way. You could do this:

1. In object mode, set up some vertical and horizontal guides that delineate the positions of your picture frames.
2. Create one picture frame, align it to the first crossing of horizontal and vertical guides
3. Double-click on the picture and check "Keep aspect ratio".
4. Copy the picture frame to the clipboard.
5. Paste this frame repeatedly, aligning each new picture to the next position in the grid of guides.
6. Double-click on each picture frame to replace the picture in it with the picture you actually want.

But I think a picture viewer that does contact prints (such as ACDSEE) would be quicker for that task.

Thanks - you're probably right about using a viewer that does contact prints, though they don't allow text as I'd like. Maybe I have to use a viewer to combine images into a single bigger image, and insert the composite.
