After I open Textmaker and then click on either the "Open File" icon or the "File" and then "open" toolbar, a window pops up that shows what folder to begin looking in. While I can manually change the size of this window, the next time I open up Textmaker the window is back at the original size. Is there a way to save the changed size of the window so that it stays at that size in the future?

Hello,

these dialogs to open or save files are not from the SoftMaker applications but from your own Windows. Unfortunately there is no way to permanently change and save the size of standard system windows which are used by TextMaker.

The only option would be to use our own file dialogs (Tools/Options, uncheck Use System File Dialogs). See if you like them.
