I'm trying to print some Avery 8567 return address labels and have no idea how.

These are 80 labels to a sheet. 1/2" X 1 3/4"

I'm able to do them OK with Microsoft works but for the life of me I can not figure it out here.

I don't have Word only Works.

Please Help?

I don't see a way either, but let me see if I can find something doing a little more digging. I don't normally use labels, but I know what you mean about using Word for them. I used them when working in an office. It is pretty handy to just plug the number in and up comes a template.

Avery itself does not provide a template for this, but did you actually mean how to create a template for the labels? That is possible using fields etc.

I was kind of looking for what you said, punch in the label number and have an instant template.

I tried to open up a Works saved file with textmaker and it would not work.

I have not have Word or Microsoft office since 2002 :o

Until we hear from SM, I think you said you also had Open Office. I know that that has Avery templates built in... Just not sure it has the same one.

Depends on whether you want the label text to come from a database or from manual input.

In the former case, Insert/List & Labels, set the number of labels across and set the height according to the label height.

In the latter case, insert a table. Set the row height to the height of the label. Fill with text as appropriate.

Hello Martin,

If you read further, you'll see what he was actually looking for. It's the type of thing that you can do in MS Word, but he like me... abandoned Word a long time ago.

The original poster knows the size of the labels. Entering these values is not so much more work than selecting the label type from a list.

That being said, DataMaker (when it finally goes into beta) will support picking labels by name.

Yes, I saw that. My point was that he was looking for the "quickie" solution. In any case, it's good to know that this capability is close. I'm sure he will appreciate that. ;)

You know, it isn't actually that hard to set up a template for yourself and once it is setup... you're done. You just pull it up whenever you need it. :)
