There has been some talk about how to modify the structure of the .dbf files created by Textmaker. In particular, I needed to change two fields into memo fields.

There is a freeware app at http://www.fileguru.com/DBF-Commander/download that will accomplish this nicely. Open your dbf file and then, under the File dropdown, choose "Structure." This allows you to modify the structure of the file without ruining it. It works like a charm.

I hope this helps other users, too.

That's not possible yet with TextMaker. I will refer your suggestion as a feature request for future versions.

My post wasn't a suggestion. It was a solution for those who need to make alterations to their Textmaker dbf files.

Of course, if Textmaker has some facility in the future, it would be great. In the meantime, this is a work-around, and one available at no cost.
