Is it possible to compare two documents in Textmaker 2006/2008 ?

No, we don't have such a feature yet. You could only position two documents side by side and compare for yourself.

Martin...Your response implies that some day, Softmaker will have a text comparison facility. Any idea when? Softmaker Office 2010 perhaps? It really would be useful.
Also useful, to a writer of novels, would be a "master document" facility, allowing separately written chapters to be collected in proper chapter order for the finished manuscript.

Text Comparision is on our wishlist for upcoming versions but it will not make it into TextMaker 2010. There is no time frame when we will implement this feature.

I'm a long-term technical author, and I find it virtually impossible to handle user-guides and other docs without a real master-document facility. Even MVPs admit that Word can't do it, the OpenOffice implementation is flaky ... My paradigm is FrameMaker, but I wish someone would liven up the market by providing the same functionality in another app.
