Hi to all

I have installed Softmaker 2012 yesterday only. However, what I seem to not find is the Label creator as I used to have in the Microsoft office? Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks Gerhard

Please invoke Insert=>Lists&Labels from the menu in TextMaker.

I too am new to SoftMaker and wish to print an entire page of the same label by entering the text (not using a mail merge to a database) and selecting a commercially available label. What method can I use to enter text and select a template for a commercially available label?

The easiest way is to create a table with two or three columns and as much rows as needed. In every table cell fill in the information for every label (you may use copy&paste). Then print the sheet with the table.

Additional hint to what Sven wrote: The safest way is to set cell heights (=row height) and cell width exactly to the size of the labels (using fixed values in Table > Row properties and Table > Cell properties) and page margins identical to those of the label sheet. Then printing results should fit precisely (except possibly tiny differences caused by your individual printer, which can easily be corrected).

By far the easiest way to create the correct label sheet would be to have a drop down list of standard label sizes to select from. This is the method provided by many other office suites, even the free ones.
