For some reason, legitimate messages are sometimes being deposited in the junk mail folder. Is there any way to ensure that messages from sources I know are not sent into junk. I have tried putting them into contacts, but this seems not to always work.

Is this the odd message... or is this a lot of messages. I'm not seeing this personally, but I also imported my account so I had a rather large trail of emails. This MIGHT have been part of it.

Messages that I receive for two email addresses, both of which are legit, about half the time are are dumped in the junk folder. Both of these email addresses are in my contacts. I had hoped that there is some way of flagging them with a "not junk" tag so that they are always in my in box.

Are these emails from individuals that you have not received email from before? or have not sent an email to before?

I have received them previously, and when they were sent into junk, moved them into the in box and put their addresses in contacts. To ensure that they were in contacts, I selected the address in the "from" field, right clicked it, the chose the "sent to contacts." I double checked my contacts to make sure it was actually there.

Thanks for the update Brian,

I'll let the SM folks take it from here. Ideally they've been watching the conversation and making notes. They may ask you a few more questions to try to assess and address the problem.

I will ask the developers of the eM Client if they have a solution and report back as soon as I have a answer.

Here is an answer from the developers:

Quote:
There are two ways how to do it:

1) Open Tools - Rules - Blacklist and delete their addresses from the list
2) Go to Junk folder, select the mail you want to move to Inbox, click on the little arrow near "Move to Inbox" button and choose the appropriate action.
