1) If we create a softmaker presentation file (or if we open a ppt/pptx file in softmaker), use transitions/animations NOT present in MS Office and save it as a ppt/pptx file these effects will not be retained nor show in Powerpoint and will default to soemthing else - is this correct?? Is there any way the softmaker specific transitionsamnd animatuions can be made to stick or be saved in a pt/pptz presentation although they have been created or edited in softmaker??

2) Is there any software that can convert a softmaker presentation file into a video file (such as avi)?

Thanks for any help on these issues

1) If you use use DirectX-based animations or transitions and save to PPT or PPTX, they are replaced with a basic animation.

2) File/Export/Movie, right there in SoftMaker Presentations

Thanks martin-K
Regarding the second issue I am aware about thr export option but yet wanted to know about a third party application that can capture the presentation with animations to a mpg format or similar - or is screen video capture the only option?

If you are content with PowerPoint-type animations and transitions, you can save as PPT or PPTX and use whatever video solution advertises itself as PowerPoint-compatible.

If you want our great DirectX-based animations and transitions, then either our own video export or screen capture are your only options.
