I've just discovered that .doc files created in TM2012 and edited in QuickOffice Pro on my Android tablet will no longer load into TM2012 (Windows and Android Beta versions). :o TextMaker crashes on trying to load them. The files *will* load into Libre Office, but if saved out again, still don't load into TM. I've managed to recover the documents by copying the text from Libre Office and pasting it into TM2012 (phew!). Glad I found this out before I edited anything *really* important on my new tablet. I wasn't using the Android TM beta for important work because it didn't 100% trust a beta, but seems I'll have to!

I've attached a file saved from QuickOffice Pro for testing.

I can confirm that it is crashing for me in TM as well.... I'll do a little more looking and see what it does to MS Word for example.

Update:

Okay, MS Word opens it, but identifies that file as having a problem and advises the user that editing this file may harm the computer.

FWIW

Thanks! It's throwing up error messages in Word, it sounds like there's something wrong with QuickOffice rather than TM. A little experimentation has ascertained that .docx files a compatible; unfortunately most of my important files are in .doc format... :(

Unfortunately I don't have QuickOffice anymore to check that side of the equation... sorry. I suspect you're right though. Since it's throwing errors in different apps, I'd say it's on the QO end. Have you chatted with them about this issue?
