What support does TextMaker 2012 have for working with multiple documents? ... say 3 open at the same time ... and dragging blocks of text from one to another?

Can three copies of TextMaker be open simultaneously (with individual documents)?

Or is there a tabbed type interface ... with a drag and drop feature of some sort?

Working with two or three open documents is very common in my work environment. I'm anxious to hear what good solutions you might have.

Thanks.

Only one instance of TextMaker can be open at a given time, but inside the application you can open as many documents as you like. There are document tabs and functions for arranging document windows conveniently. Drag & Drop between document windows doesn't work, but you can exchange text between documents by Ctrl+C/Ctrl+X and Ctrl+V.

That's a little confusing. So I can be viewing two documents side by side? ... Yes? (i.e., with both documents in TextMaker)

But I can't drag a paragraph from one to the other? How about dragging to/from another word processor? Will that work?

In a few days, I'll download the trial copy and see what you mean.

Yes, you can! ;-) Two, three, four, or as many as your screen real estate will yield.

No, this isn't possible.

The result will be an OLE-object (if the other word processor is OLE-enabled, e.g. Word). So, for simply copying text, you're back at copy & paste.
