I'm having trouble with character styles in footnotes. They come out as the size of the normal character or paragraph style. This is not a problem I'd had with previous versions, and it happens with documents that had worked fine before.

I've attached a sample file that has this problem.

When I open your .tmd file, the footnotes are actually in 11 pt font, whereas the paragraph font is 12pt.

That's the problem. Try applying the character style 'Latin' to a word in the footnote and its font size is made 12. It never used to do this, as its font size is 'floating'.

In the sidebar, there is a character style "footnote text". All footnotes are by default formatted with this style. Changing it should solve your problem.

Well, it looks OK to me. It is set to 11 pt, which is what I want. I'm not sure what I need to change. Like I say, I've never had this problem with earlier versions.

This problem is still not been solved. In the past when I left font size blank in the character style, when I applied a character style, the font size was not affected. Now it changes the font size according to some basis I've not figured out.

This is very inconvenient. In the attached document I want the font size of footnotes to remain 11 pt and body text to be 12 pt, but be able to apply character style to each as needed.
