Hi, I'm looking for a solution with footnotes. I see that I cannot select more than one footnote at once!??? This seems a bit strange!
I want to make all the footnotes as two columns, independent from the main text, which might be in one or more columns. So how can I select all the footnotes to make them into two columns??

At present this is not possible, as each footnote is handled as a separate object by TextMaker. A more flexible footnote functionality (with footnotes in two columns and so on) has repeatedly been wished for in the German forum and is on the wish list, but this will be a rather demanding project, so I don't know if it can be done in the near future.

Thanks for that, but it might be well worth it for you to 'rise to the occasion', as I have not yet seen this option available in MS Word or OpenWriter etc., so if SM would be able to offer it, it would attract many customers and have a niche in the market! Actually DavkaWriter can do this quite well, also position two footnotes on the same line. But it wasn't acting satisfactory enough for us.

SamPos makes a good point. Anything positive you can do to differentiate your office software from the competition will help improve sales.

Yes, the whole footnotes feature is quite limited on type-setting programs. Besides for independent column layout, there should be options for same line footnotes, double sets of footnotes, I.e. two independent sets of footnotes (or more!) etc.
