I was excited to test your product. Unfortunately I found a stumbling block immediately. My system, running OpenSuse 11.3 (64 bit) KDE 4.5.3, has the company file server (Win 2003(i believe)) mounted as a cifs file system through a mount statement in the fstab file. I can see the directory where the filesystem is mounted but no files or directories on it when I open the File->Open dialog.

Strangely I have no problems accessing a Linux file server where the file system is mounted exactly the same way.

Of course, all other software on my computer, OpenOffice, KDE applications, Gnome applications etc. can access files on the Win file server without any problems

Thank you for the bug report which I referred to our developers for further investigations. I will inform you here as soon as I have more information.

I can see that not much has happened on this issue. However, I have found a workaround here:

Please consider changing the application(s) so that this is no longer a problem!
