Hi SoftMaker People:

I have a spreadsheet which is in a shared folder, so that several people in the office can access and use it. Of course, to prevent problems, each person who uses it shuts it down when s/he does not need it at that moment.

I would like to know if it is possible to define a particular cell to automatically insert a date and time, which would update itself each time that the spreadsheet is closed by a particular user. That updated date/time would then appear in that cell when the next person opens it; it would show when it was last used by someone, and would be updated when the person closes it.

If it would not be possible to be updated when it is closed, would it be possible to have the date/time cell automatically update itself when the spreadsheet is opened?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi Peter,

Yes, in PlanMaker this may help you:

=LASTSAVED()

See the attached example.

It doesn't show the last time it was opened, but it does show the last time the file was saved.

Note that this isn't supported by Excel, only Planmaker. If you open an XLS file with this formula in it, it will show only the last saved date that was performed in Planmaker.

Hope that helps.

Regards,

L.O.
