I have been running WP since DOS days. I have a lot of WP Office 2000 files and would like to be assured that your Linex version would be 100% compatible with them before I purchase your software.

Sorry, there are no WP filters Softmaker Office.

After a decade+ of using Lotus WordPro -- I found myself in the same situation after moving to TextMaker. I "just loved" WordPro's Text/Page Properties (the small-case abc easy-icon). In fact, the newer Lotus Symphony's equivalent easy-icon area still isn't as good as the original found in WordPro.

Here is what I found for document conversion coming over to TextMaker...

Solution #1: Simply convert files to Rich Text Format => Then check for minor reformatting.

Solution #2: Mark the entire document in WordPro (Ctrl-A) , copy (Ctrl-C), then paste (Ctrl-V) into TextMaker. Done!

The latter solution is what I now use due to its simplicity. I was amazed at "how crisp" the formatting was to TextMaker. If there was a WordPro Table => I found the best solution was to duplicate the table columns/rows in TextMaker, and copy/paste the text to the new table.

The "new templates" are now into TextMaker => Plus I learned where TextMaker functions were located.
