i have upgrade sm2008 to sm2010 and it works fine,...

The only problem i have is that al the shortcuts on my desktop no longer opens the program.

the shortcuts where made by exel, end used by planmaker, and the the pictogram was the one used by planmaker.

After the upgrade i can stil open de files, but only after starting planmaker.

When i try to open the shortcut at my desktop, the box appear with the question with's program i should use and i try to selekt planmaker nothing happens. This is also voor textmaker, but not for presentations.

I hope you understand my problem.

Hello,

please start the setup of SoftMaker Office 2010 again. During the installation a window comes up asking you which file types you want to associate with Office 2010. Just select all file types. That should solve your problem.

No, sorry, but its not working.

its not the problem that i cannot open files, i can,

But not directly from my desktop.

when i want to open a file i must first start up planmaker or tekstmaker, and then in File, open, choose witch file i want to use.

I want to connect my shortcuts on my desktop directly with planmaker or tekstmaker.

And that wont work.

When i look at my desktop i see a number of icons that present xls files.

wen i click on one of them, a box wil open and there is a question what program i want to use.

planmaker or tekstmaker are not in that list, and i choose surge for a program.

Then i see the explorer program list with program files, i look for SoftMaker Office 2010 and opens it.

Then selekt planmaker, or tekstmaker, and it should be appearing in that list with prefered programs.

Then i should have the option to check a box with the question to always use that program for that kind of files.

But that wont happen.

so if i want to start that file, i must manualy start planmaker and open that file.

Why???????

No, that is not the problem.

The problem is that tekstmaker and planmaker NOT appear in that list you see when you open that box.

Dear Rob,

please click on the button "Browse..." Then it is possible to select the file "TextMaker.exe"
(Browse... > Program Files > SoftMaker Office 2010 > TextMaker.exe).

No, sorry, but that is just the problem.

I cannot selekt tekst or planmaker. i can selekt, but nothing happens.

the field where the program should come, together with al the other programs like acrobat reader, media player or wordpad. stay's empty.

Only presentations and all the other program are in that field, but not tekst or planmaker.

i have just upgrade my computer from Vista to Win7 and everything works fine.

I have this problem with the shortcuts not being made available to associate files.
Windows XP.

Anyone else have the problem and hopefully a solution.

does it mean that PlanMaker, TextMaker and Presentations does not appear in the program list when you right click on a file and choose "open with"?

Does a new full installation solve this problem when you select to associate all file types with SoftMaker Office?
