Hello. I am trying to install the paid version of Softmaker Office, but each time I try to install it, I am told I need ActiveSync, or something like that. Can someone direct me through this process? Thanks. I appreciate the help.

The only 2010 version that is currently shipping is the one for Windows, and this one definitely does not require ActiveSync.

The version (2008) that requires ActiveSync is the one for Windows Mobile (Pocket PC).

Unfortunately, I did not find you in the customer database, so I cannot tell which version you have. Can you give me your customer number or the e-mail address under which you purchased?

Maybe I accidently purchased the wrong product? I have a Blackberry Tour that I wanted to use with this software, and the product that I bought was recommended to me for that purpose.

I paid for the full version through PayPal.

I use Vista Ultimate 64 on my computer and I am getting ready to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional 64. ActiveSync is not available for Vista or Windows 7.

Instead of ActiveSync you should use WMDC on Windows Vista or 7.
But I have not tested compatibility of WMDC and SoftMaker products.

Thanks for your message. I downloaded WMDC but the software is still demanding GoodSync. I am waiting for a responce from SoftMaker because maybe the problem is that I may have purchased one software thinking it was something different. I hope the issue can be resolved since I cannot use the product at all.
