Hi, I'm using on my computer an old version of Microsoft Office 97, but unfortunately on other new computer under Windows 7 x64 don't run. For this reason I'm searching a similar program that satisfy my necessities. I have download trial version of "Office 2010" from home site, but testing it I have discovered a problem or bug in saving mode of Planmaker, under different Windows operating systems that I have proved to install. PlanMaker is set as default save file format "Excel 97/2000/XP/2003" for compatibilty on my old version of Microsoft Office. ----> Tools - options - Files - Default file program = Excel 97 Running PlanMaker and creating for test only 3 cells that contain this formule:
=TODAY() and saving file as "1.xls" the program save file on hard disk without problem, but if I change the subtype in order to see for each cell only "Year" only "Month" only "Day" in this mode: 2011 November Friday cell 1: Format -> Cell -> Number Format equal Date/Time --> New SubType as YYYY cell 2: Format -> Cell -> Number Format equal Date/Time --> New SubType as MMMM cell 3: Format -> Cell -> Number Format equal Date/Time --> New SubType as DDDD And I "SAVE AS" "2.xls" the program save also correctly the file for last time. In fact if I add a new cell and I write something on it example "present-day is" and I save on third time as file "3.xls" Program don't save file and shows "SECURITY ADVISE of error" that report this: "Reading and writing of files may not be possible for illegal copies" Why Illegal copies??? I have download the TRIAL program legally from official home site to testing it ??!! I don't understand this advise. Someone have the same problem ?? Also if I delete all the cells the program can't save file. I must close program and open it again. I have also proved creating a portable program using option USBSTICK but problem persist. If I insert in the cell only words or number without formulas the problem there isn't. Is occured that in one test the Advise are not showed on third saving files but insisting in order to test program, adding new cells with new formulas example (a1+a2+a3 etc...) and saving on different files.XLS for each new formula added (4.xls .... 5.xls.... 6.xls etc...) the BUG are dependably always showed Can someone help me, where I'm wronging?? There are some programs that create conflict ?? Office softmaker is a good program and is very interesting and similar to my old version of Office and it is a sin abandon it for this problem.
