How can I search and find cells containing a single character like "*" or "?" in PlanMaker? In MS Excel that must bee typed: "~*". In the PlanMaker that work not... What is the solution?

You mean cells that contain only this single character?
In Edit > Search... you type this character into the search box (without any additions) and select "Whole cell match".

Cheers

I apologize that my problem is not formulated precisely enough. My problem essentially is: I want to count, that in a column or row range of cells how many "*", "?" or other single special characters-contained cells is.
In MS Excel the solution is the COUNTIF function: COUNTIF(range, "~*"). But if the XLS file is opened for example to the PlanMaker 2006 program (on my Jornada 720), then this function does not work correctly: does not recognize the specified character.
When I tried to change the character "~*" on "*", then the COUNTIF function counted all cells, which included a string.
What would be the solution?
Thanks, Vetesan
(P.s.: This function in newer versions of PlanMaker have not tried).

COUNTIF exists in PlanMaker 2010. Please try with the demo version:

I tried, the COUNTIF function works in PlanMaker, but the cells that contain the single characters * or ? can not find. In order to understand the essence of the problem, please reread the previous entries. I attach a sample file for reference purposes.
Thanks, vetesan

I can reproduce that problem here and informed the developers.

Our developers will fix this issue in the next Service Pack and next version of SoftMaker Office. In the menatime you should use \* or \?. With "\", every character can be quoted in PlanMaker 2010.
