I'm trying to create a Textmaker version of a stylesheet I've used in a number of other applications, and I want to specify Unicode 2756 (dingbats ❖ 2756 BLACK DIAMOND MINUS WHITE X) as a bullet using Arial. The character is available to other applications, both on Windows and on Ubuntu – but it doesn't show up in the Character dialog and I can't directly select it using its Unicode value.

Is there a workaround? Thanks in advance.

btw: I've posted this twice, because it's not O/S dependent

Arial does not contain this character. It might be that other applications do a silent font replacement (Tahoma contains it), and that TextMaker does not do this exact font replacement.

Changing the font to Tahoma will solve this issue.
