I have always been able to print addresses in MailMerge leaving empty fields, i.e. {Address3} unprinted.
I seem to have lost this facility with the latest Update "ofw10_596.exe". Empty Address lines now print as empty lines. I have tried unsuccessfully various ways of regaining this facilility and would be grateful for any advice.
I save my address lists as ".dbf". I use Windows XP.

I think you are talking about TextMaker 2010, not about Presentations 2008. I moved the topic to the correct place.

The problem has been referred to the developers. I will inform you as soon as we have an answer.

That problem has been solved and should no longer occur wit the next service pack or next version of SoftMaker Office.

Sven,

I have just upgraded to SoftMaker 2012 in the full expectation that the MailMerge problem of empty address lines in TextMaker would have been solved. Not so; I still get empty lines in MailMerge addresses. I don't know what I could be doing wrong and would be grateful for your advice.

You are right. Contrary to what the help file says, empty lines are not suppressed in print, also in TM 2012.

Thanks for this, Sven. I hope that the developers will follow it through this time. I am certain that many more users of TextMaker will be grateful for having this problem solved.

The problem has been solved now and won't occur anymore in the next service pack.

As a side note, this time the bug was caused by a completely different issue than last time. Let's hope that this issue doesn't ever come up again...
