I would like to be able to determine the template that a document is based on. I cannot see how to so do. Is there a way to determine the template that was used to create a document?

No, there isn't, and frankly, I'm at a loss to see how such a function could be useful. If the document was created by someone else, you don't have access to his or her templates anyway, and if it was created by yourself, surely you know your own templates?

There is a use, though not used with all documents nor everyday. The use is why Wordperfect Office and other major office programs\suites have the ability.

I referred your wish as a feature request to our developers.

For my two pennyworth...
I have just experienced a weirdo. I have a document on one computer and laid out the document perfectly. I copied the document to another computer and loaded the document for printing. The layout had changed in that the lines broke in a different place but the margins were the same. I assumed the template was embedded in the document but was not sure. I could not check!
Instead, I had to copy the whole folder of templates to the other computer in case.
In fact it made no difference, but it would be handy to have been able to check.

Jossi....

As users and/or testers are saying, yes, there IS a use, albeit not very often.

At the least, it would be VERY good for the "Template name used" to be noted in the area of the SoftMaker application that contains items like the authors name and other information.

Template name info should be easy for the programmers / developers to extract from the open document ?
