The best way would be to save "try1.tmd" with a new name "try2.tmd". That would create a new file with the content of the first file.

Well, then you need to copy every picture frame from your first file into the other one (select the frame and press CTRL+C to copy and in the other file CTRL+V to paste).

There is an easier way.
To insert a document with picture frames (as in try1.tmd) into another one, you need only two steps:
First, to get the text (if any), open both documents and press Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C in edit mode in document #2, then Ctrl+V in edit mode in document #1.
Second, do the same in object mode (in both documents).

Cheers
Jossi

Of course you're right. You have to do it on a per page basis. (Most of my documents are only one page, so I didn't take that into account. )

May request this be included in the next release? I always need to combine different files into one file...
