There are times when it's useful to have mixed orientation pages in a document (eg. pages 1, 4, 5 in Portrait, and pages 2 & 3 in Landscape). A command/toolbar button to change orientation of current page, and also the ability to select multiple pages and change orientation on one go would be useful.

At present, mixing pages with different orientation is done by inserting chapter breaks and adjusting the page setup in chapter formatting. The command or toolbar button you suggest had to be a shortcut to insert a chapter break and change from portrait to landscape or vice versa. But in many cases it is also necessary to adjust the page margins when you change page orientation, so you have to go to chapter format anyway. Therefore I doubt if such a command would be a big improvement.
