A small but slightly annoying bug...

If I have a document displayed as "Fit margins to window", it is centred in the document window. But if I minimise the programme to the task bar and then maximise it again, the document shifts to the left, so that the right edge is showing and the left is off screen, and I have to centre it again before I can continue working. This is in Windows 7.

Does this happen with rev. 591 (the current service pack)?

Ok, thank you. I cannot reproduce this problem here with Windows XP (Service Pack 3) with TextMaker rev. 591. I guess it has something to do with Windows 7. We will investigate this problem here and inform you as soon as we have more information.

It seems that this depends on the screen resolution, or the window size of the application. Can you please tell us if you use TextMaker in maximized mode, and what is your screen resolution?

My screen resolution is 1366 x 768. I use Texmaker not maximised, though a quick check shows that the problem exists whether TextMaker is in maximised mode or not. (Just in case it's relevant, I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium on a Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv6 notebook).

I have noticed the nuisance but cannot trace it so far.

- Open the document attached
- Fit margins to window
- Select 4444444444 word by double-clicking
- Minimise TM
- Maximise TM

It is not centred on my PC.
The funny thing is that it starts from the 4444444444 word and further.
If you have selected 3333333333 than it would be centred.

Thank you bkp. Which Operating system and screen resolution are you using?

I can confirm bkp's document behaves the same on my system. The bug does only seem to manifest when the cursor is toward the middle or right side of the document.

WinXP sp3
1440*900

I have checked Carandol's idea about the cursor location and got more interesting result.
The system looses the fit from L 1 Col 27 cursor location. It is obviously not the middle of page. Mystery :?:

A variation on this bug -- when using an A4-sized template, with Textmaker window maximized, the page is not centred. If I restore down, even slightly, the page is centred.

If I use the original normal.tmv (Letter size), this doesn't happen, the page is centred normally when maximized.

Using build 596, Win7 x64, monitor resolution 1680x1050, standard view, zoom level 100 per cent. The same thing used to happen with build 591.

Not yet. I raised the priority.
