Feature suggestion: An advanced repeat of headings for multi-page spanned table

Most text processors for tables, spanning on multiple pages, allow to repeat automatically a table headline on the next page with limitation to include at least the first row. Nevertheless, some standards of arranging tables require repeating only the row, containing the numbers of columns in its cells, which often is the second in a table, and a label above the reflowed part of the table, such as, for instance, "Table 1. Continued" for the next and "Table 1.End " for the last one.

The problem is that the issue concerned isn't provided with automatic tools. Solutions mentioned, proposed by text processors, are practically useless.

This obstacle is worked around in Open Office Writer by using page styles, while Microsoft Word lacks convenient solution, for which description of the problem is given by Word MVP Margaret Aldis ( www.syntagma.demon.co.uk/WordClinic.htm ) in the article "Turning the tables on Microsoft Word" ( http://www.syntagma.demon.co.uk/Articles/WordWorkaround6.pdf ):
…Table ‘continued’ captions
Amazingly, Word still does not include an automatic facility to have a table caption repeat with the word ‘continued’ or similar when a table flows onto a second page. If your House Style demands this you could just have found a good excuse to put in your order for FrameMaker! If you are stuck with Word, there are two workaround approaches, neither ideal…

That is why implementing this really necessary advanced adjustable function of repeating headlines will make the TextMaker more functional and turn controlling tables more convenient and vigorous.

Thank you for your suggestion. I referred it to our developers.
