This is a very specific issue, easy to re-produce:

When I have a table in the header (and presumably footer), the column widths are NOT saved or parsed correctly when I'm using the ODF (.odt) format.

  • Tables in the main document body have no problem.
  • Saving in another format (such as the native format or MS Word) has no problem.
  • Opening file in OpenOffice shows it saved incorrectly
  • Opening file in Textmaker that is saved in OpenOffice displays incorrectly (so it would have a problem reading it as well as saving).

The column widths are set to be "equal" cross the page width. So if 2 columns, it is halfway, 3 columns, 1/3 width, etc. It doesn't matter what I set them to, it always opens up this way. When I'm editing the document, the column widths appear correct. Only after I save & close the file, then re-open, I can see the column widths are incorrect.

Thank you for the hint. I can reproduce this problem here and informed the developers.

This problem has been fixed and should no longer occur in the next service pack.
