When I copy a draw object vis copy & paste, I end up with a pasted object, that cannot be moved and where the Layout tab in the properties are greyed out and disabled. By making the copy via Edit-> Duplicate or Ctrl & drag, I get an object, that can be movet etc.
Are the some setting that I have missed or is this a bug in TextMaker ??

Hello,

please note that there are two "modes" in TextMaker: object mode and text mode. When you draw a new object from the toolbar (rectangle, circle and so on) you are in the obejct mode. In this mode you cannot type text but draw, drag an edit objects.
You probably copied the object with CTRL+C, then changed into text mode to set the cursor to the position you want the copy of your object and pressed CTRL+V to paste the object. But now the object was pasted in textmode and is part of the text itself and you cannot move it with your mouse to another position. That is the difference between textmode and object mode.
You can always change between object and text mode via View=>Obejct mode.
