Anyone got a quick way of putting an m-dash in a document? I'm transcribing a book which uses them a lot, and going to the Insert Symbol menu every time seems like a long-winded way of doing it. Word and OpenOffice will automatically replace two consecutive minus signs with an m-dash, but when I try getting Smart Text to replace two minus signs with an m-dash, it will only do it if there is a space on either side, which isn't right--there should be no spaces around an m-dash.

1. Tools :arrow2: Customize :arrow2: Keyboard Mappings...
2. Click on Edit...
3. Scroll down to "Editing" in the left field ("Groups"), then to "Emdash" in the right field ("Command")
4. Type in any shortcut key you like. (NB: The caption "Please press accelerator" is a bit misleading; just set the cursor into this field, type the key combination you want (e.g. Strg+-) and click "Add" and "OK". That's it.)
