If you want to receive and send e-mails using your Gmail (Google
Mail) account with SoftMaker Mail, proceed as follows:

In SoftMaker Mail, choose the command Tools > New Account. |

The "Setup Wizard" appears. It will help you set up
SoftMaker Mail for accessing your Gmail account, step by step. (Click
on the Next button after each step.) |

In the first step, enter your name and your e-mail address (at Gmail)
e.g. johnsmith@gmail.com. |

4. |
In the next step, enter the following: |
|
Incoming server: pop.gmail.com |
|
Outgoing server: smtp.gmail.com |
|

In the next step, enter the following: |
|
User name: your e-mail address at Gmail (e.g. johnsmith@gmail.com). |
|
Activate the option "Use outgoing authentification?". |
|
Below that option, enter your user name once again (e.g. johnsmith@gmail.com). |

In the next step, choose the following settings: |
|
Incoming security settings: Secure to dedicated port (SSL/TLS) |
|
Outgoing security settings: Secure to dedicated port (SSL/TLS) |

In the next step, enter any name for the new account (e.g.
"Google Mail"). |

8. |
Finally, click on Finish to complete the setup procedure. |
From now on, you can access your Gmail messages in SoftMaker Mail.
Use the File > Receive New Messages command to download
your current messages.
